Savarian.tech, a leading software testing services company, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Test Engineer to join our dynamic and remote team. As a Security Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities in our clients’ software applications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security testing, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities
- Develop and maintain project-specific security testing strategies and plans
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle
- Perform security code reviews and analyze security testing results
- Identify security weaknesses and recommend solutions and countermeasures
- Stay up to date with the latest security trends, tools, and techniques
- Assist in defining security standards and best practices
- Communicate security risks and findings to stakeholders effectively
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in security testing or related field
- Strong knowledge of security testing methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Familiarity with security standards and best practices (e.g., OWASP, NIST)
- Knowledge of web and mobile application security principles
- Understanding of secure coding practices and common security vulnerabilities
- Experience with security testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, or similar
- Familiarity with programming languages and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications:
- Certifications related to security testing, such as CEH, OSCP, or CISSP
- Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of network and infrastructure security
- Understanding of secure coding practices in various programming languages
