Savarian.tech, a leading software testing services company, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Test Engineer to join our dynamic and remote team. As a Security Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities in our clients’ software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security testing, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and maintain project-specific security testing strategies and plans
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle
  • Perform security code reviews and analyze security testing results
  • Identify security weaknesses and recommend solutions and countermeasures
  • Stay up to date with the latest security trends, tools, and techniques
  • Assist in defining security standards and best practices
  • Communicate security risks and findings to stakeholders effectively

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in security testing or related field
  • Strong knowledge of security testing methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
  • Familiarity with security standards and best practices (e.g., OWASP, NIST)
  • Knowledge of web and mobile application security principles
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and common security vulnerabilities
  • Experience with security testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, or similar
  • Familiarity with programming languages and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications related to security testing, such as CEH, OSCP, or CISSP
  • Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of network and infrastructure security
  • Understanding of secure coding practices in various programming languages
